Inside Cisco’s Café

How Food, Family, and Purpose Came Together to Create Cisco’s Catering

December 19, 2025

Every great meal starts with a story.

For me, that story begins in Harlem, New York City, standing beside my grandmother in her kitchen. That’s where I first learned that food is more than nourishment—it’s comfort, connection, and love served on a plate.

After losing my father at a young age, my grandmother became the heart of our home. Through her cooking, she taught me resilience, compassion, and the power of gathering people together around a good meal. Her kitchen wasn’t just where food was made—it was where healing happened.

I watched her cook for soup kitchens and neighbors
